Csscompress
Minify modern CSS with Ruby. Csscompress currently uses CSSO via ExecJS.
Installation
Add this line to your application's Gemfile:
gem 'csscompress'
And then execute:
$ bundle install
Or install it yourself as:
$ gem install csscompress
Usage
require "csscompress"
minified_css_string = Csscompress.minify("/path/to/css/file")
Rails with Sprockets / Asset Pipeline
In config/environments/production.rb
and config/environments/test.rb
:
config.assets.css_compressor = :csscompress
