Hiera lookups have always been hard for people to understand. This tool will display the entire lookup hierarchy, including filenames, exactly as Hiera will interpret them and in the order that Hiera will resolve them. Then it will display all the data which can be retrieved from Hiera, given the node scope being used.

Manage Puppet classroom VMs and updating courseware. This includes troubleshooting and maintenance tasks to be used as needed during the delivery and facilities for resetting the VM for use across multiple deliveries. This is pre-installed on the classroom VM. If you are not teaching Puppet Inc. classes, this is not for you.

Puppetfactory creates a Puppet Enterprise infrastructure on the classroom server. Each student has a container for Puppet code and configuration linked to their environment on the master. The containers are built on docker and duplicate most of the behavior of a full VM or bare-metal system. The classroom server will also be running the unmodified Puppet Enterprise Console with an account for each student.
