RubyPython is a bridge between the Ruby and Python interpreters. It embeds a
running Python interpreter in the Ruby application's process using FFI and
provides a means for wrapping, converting, and calling Python objects and
methods.
RubyPython uses FFI to marshal the data between the Ruby and Python VMs and
make Python calls. You can:
* Inherit from Python classes.
* Configure callbacks from Python.
* Run Python generators (on Ruby 1.9.2 or later).

A Ruby gem which takes the pain of continuously reading data from a serial port
away and lets you focus on dealing with the data received.
This was written specifically for reading in data from an ID-20
RFID card reader and running custom scripts to automatically perform
various tasks when patrons scanned their badge at the
[MN Mill](http://mnmill.org) (logging attendance, etc).
Custom scripts are loaded from `ENV["HOME"]/millworker/tasks` and are executed
in alphabetical order. Each script is executed with the ID of the badge passed
in as an argument. For example, a script called `tweet_id.rb` existed in the
afformentioned directory, it would be executed as if you had opened up a
command terminal and typed `tweet_id.rb RFID_TAG_ID_HERE`.

Net::LDAP for Ruby (also called net-ldap) implements client access for the
Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP), an IETF standard protocol for
accessing distributed directory services. Net::LDAP is written completely in
Ruby with no external dependencies. It supports most LDAP client features and a
subset of server features as well.
Net::LDAP has been tested against modern popular LDAP servers including
OpenLDAP and Active Directory. The current release is mostly compliant with
earlier versions of the IETF LDAP RFCs (2251â2256, 2829â2830, 3377, and 3771).
Our roadmap for Net::LDAP 1.0 is to gain full <em>client</em> compliance with
the most recent LDAP RFCs (4510â4519, plutions of 4520â4532).

Generate rake distribute:install, uninstall, and diff tasks to distribute items (files, templates, directories, etc.) to difference locations.
It is the saver to use rake tasks to manage 1 -> n file distribution. Commonly applied cases are runcom files, Makefiles, etc. Those files exists in many locations and are almost identical with slight difference.
