Strelka is a framework for creating and deploying Mongrel2 web applications
in Ruby, and for managing a Mongrel2 cluster.
It's named after the Russian dog who was one of the first space travelers
to orbit the Earth and return alive.

This is a Strelka application plugin for describing rules for [Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS)](http://www.w3.org/TR/cors/).
NOTE: It's still a work in progress.
By default, the plugin has paranoid defaults, and doesn't do anything. You'll need to grant access to the resources you want to share.
To grant access, you declare one or more `access_control` blocks which can modify responses to matching access-control requests. All the blocks which match the incoming request's URI are called with the request and response objects in the order in which they're declared:
# Allow access to all resources from any origin by default
access_control do |req, res|
res.allow_origin '*'
res.allow_methods 'GET', 'POST'
res.allow_credentials
res.allow_headers :content_type
end
These are applied in the order you declare them, with each matching block passed the request if it matches. This happens before the application gets the request, so it can do any further modification it needs to, and so it can block requests from disallowed origins/methods/etc.
There are a number of helper methods added to the request and response objects for applying and declaring access-control rules when this plugin is loaded:

Ruby bindings for Strophe 'http://code.stanziq.com/strophe/', a C library for writing XMPP clients. If all you need is a simple XMPP bot that react to message and presence notifications, you might be better off with XMPPBot, which is an implementation I wrote on top of StropheRuby. IMPORTANT : This gem is quite experimental currently... it is not ready for production! Strophe 'http://code.stanziq.com/strophe/' is a robust and well written C library that allows the developer to implement XMPP clients. I wanted to be able to use the power of this library with the ruby syntax. I didn't use SWIG to generate the bindings for 2 reasons : 1. I wanted to learn how to write a C extension for ruby 2. I didn't like how SWIG generate gazilions of lines of code My other project, XMPPBot, is an implementation of Strophe Ruby that allows the ruby developer to write a XMPP bot in a few lines of code.

A handy dandy autoload / require / load helper for your rubies. Similar to
using[1], but with a few differences of opinion, and a bit shorter.
Basically, expand path is fine, up until a point. Sometimes there's no point
(i.e. when the load path already contains most of the path you're trying to
open). When you're writing libs that users might require sub parts with
'libname/sub_part', then expand_path combined with say, rubygems, can lead to
double requires. Lets not do that. :-)

SunRiseSet is a ruby class calculates the times of the sunrise, solar noon and sunset.
It also calculates astronomical, naval and civil twilight times.
Not sure of the origin of the algorithm.
I have seen a fortran version http://www.srrb.noaa.gov/highlights/sunrise/program.txt
a .pl www.mso.anu.edu.au/~brian/grbs/astrosubs.pl and .vb versions for spreadsheets too.
All had the same comments, so are of a common origin.

== FEATURES/PROBLEMS: * Presently a superator operand must support having a singleton class. Because true, false, nil, Symbols, and Fixnums are all specially optimized for in MRI and cannot have singleton classes, they can't be given to a superator. There are ways this can be potentially accounted for, but nothing is in place at the moment, causing this to be classified as a bug. * When defining a superator in a class, any operators overloaded after the superator definition will override a superator definition. For example, if you create the superator "<---" and then define the <() operator, the superator will not work. In this case, the superator's definition should be somewhere after the <() definition. * Superators work by handling a binary Ruby operator specially and then building a chain of unary operators after it. For this reason, a superator must match the regexp /^(\*\*|\*|\/|%|\+|\-|<<|>>|&|\||\^|<=>|>=|<=|<|>|===|==|=~)(\-|~|\+)+$/. == SYNOPSIS:

Nokogiri (鋸) is an HTML, XML, SAX, and Reader parser. Among Nokogiri's
many features is the ability to search documents via XPath or CSS3 selectors.
XML is like violence - if it doesn’t solve your problems, you are not using
enough of it.
