Test-driven learning is a way to master a programming language by writing unit tests around its API's. shubox lowers the barrier to entry for test-driven learning by providing a basic infrastructure in which to start coding: A directory structure, some classes and unit tests to get started, and a build script. shubox currently creates environments for Ruby and Java, but can easily be extended to any language that lends itself to unit testing. shubox is built on newgem, so extending the framework is as simple as creating new generator scripts. After installing shubox and generating a testing environment, you'll start off with some passing tests that exercise parts of the language's API. Write new learning tests, naming each method with the intent of the lesson, then write the code that makes a test pass. Can you complete the lesson again from memory? If not, you may need to study the concept more closely and implement the tests again. According to {a paper by Karpicke and Roediger}[http://psych.wustl.edu/memory/Roddy%20article%20PDF's/Karpicke_Roediger_2008_Science.pdf], "repeated retrieval practice led to greater than 150% improvements in long-term retention than studying alone. ...Although educators and psychologists often consider testing a neutral process that merely assesses the contents of memory, practicing retrieval during tests clearly produces more learning than additional encoding or study once an item has been recalled." shubox makes repeated testing easy by providing built-in test cleaners that delete your test implementations, while keeping comments and test names to express the intent of the test.

class Binding stinks, module Bondage stinks less. Bondage provides hashes of local, global, instance, etc. variables, and provides the Enumerable interface for locals directly. It also provides [] syntax to get/set binding variables directly.

This is an experimental branch that implements a connection pool of Net::HTTP objects instead of a connection/thread. C/T is fine if you're only using your http threads to make connections but if you use them in child threads then I suspect you will have a thread memory leak. Also, I want to see if I get less connection resets if the most recently used connection is always returned. Also added a :force_retry option that if set to true will retry POST requests as well as idempotent requests. This branch is currently incompatible with the master branch in the following ways: * It doesn't allow you to recreate the Net::HTTP::Persistent object on the fly. This is possible in the master version since all the data is kept in thread local storage. For this version, you should probably create a class instance of the object and use that in your instance methods. * It uses a hash in the initialize method. This was easier for me as I use a HashWithIndifferentAccess created from a YAML file to define my options. This should probably be modified to check the arguments to achieve backwards compatibility. * The method shutdown is unimplemented as I wasn't sure how I should implement it and I don't need it as I do a graceful shutdown from nginx to finish up my connections. For connection issues, I completely recreate a new Net::HTTP instance. I was running into an issue which I suspect is a JRuby bug where an SSL connection that times out would leave the ssl context in a frozen state which would then make that connection unusable so each time that thread handled a connection a 500 error with the exception "TypeError: can't modify frozen". I think Joseph West's fork resolves this issue but I'm paranoid so I recreate the object. Compatibility with the master version could probably be achieved by creating a Strategy wrapper class for GenePool and a separate strategy class with the connection/thread implementation.

== DESCRIPTION MMS2R is a library that decodes the parts of an MMS message to disk while stripping out advertising injected by the mobile carriers. MMS messages are multipart email and the carriers often inject branding into these messages. Use MMS2R if you want to get at the real user generated content from a MMS without having to deal with the cruft from the carriers. If MMS2R is not aware of a particular carrier no extra processing is done to the MMS other than decoding and consolidating its media. Contact the author to add additional carriers to be processed by the library. Suggestions and patches appreciated and welcomed! RubyVor provides efficient computation of Voronoi diagrams and Delaunay triangulation for a set of Ruby points. It is intended to function as a complemenet to GeoRuby. These structures can be used to compute a nearest-neighbor graph for a set of points. This graph can in turn be used for proximity-based clustering of the input points.

Automated Gem installation, activation, and much more! == FEATURES: GemInstaller provides automated installation, loading and activation of RubyGems. It uses a simple YAML config file to: * Automatically install the correct versions of all required gems wherever your app runs. * Automatically ensure installed gems and versions are consistent across multiple applications, machines, platforms, and environments * Automatically activate correct versions of gems on the ruby load path when your app runs ('require_gem'/'gem') * Automatically reinstall missing dependency gems (built in to RubyGems > 1.0) * Automatically detect correct platform to install for multi-platform gems (built in to RubyGems > 1.0) * Print YAML for \"rogue gems\" which are not specified in the current config, to easily bootstrap your config file, or find gems that were manually installed without GemInstaller. * Allow for common configs to be reused across projects or environments by supporting multiple config files, including common config file snippets, and defaults with overrides. * Allow for dynamic selection of gems, versions, and platforms to be used based on environment vars or any other logic. * Avoid the \"works on demo, breaks on production\" syndrome * Solve world hunger, prevent the global energy crisis, and wash your socks. == SYNOPSYS:

BrowserCuke is a layer of browser-based testing on top of Cucumber. It provides an intuitive way of writing business-readable tests for your web applications, that use real web browsers to test. Your test scripts can now be a way of communicating with your client how you have tested the application and how it should work. For more information about Cucumber, see [the cucumber website](http://cukes.info). BrowserCuke currently uses Watir to perform the browser automation, although it may be extended in the future to use something like WebRat to test applications sans-JavaScript.
