IsAlias¶ ↑

This gem makes it easy to add simple active record attribute check methods.

github.com/neonlex/is_alias

Installation¶ ↑

You can use the latest IsAlias gem:

gem install is_alias

After you install IsAlias, add it to your Gemfile.

Usage¶ ↑

Defining the aliases¶ ↑

class User < ActiveRecord::Base
  is_alias :staff => true, :hireable => :profile_hireable
end

is_alias takes a hash. The keys are the method names which, would be generated. The values are the active record fields. Use symbols. If the value is true, than the system uses the key as value.

Generated instance methods¶ ↑

Calling is_alias as shown above creates the following instance methods on Spaceship:

User#is_staff?
User#is_hireable?
