Allows ActiveRecord to default has_one relationships.

Installation

Add this line to your application's Gemfile:

gem 'activerecord-has_one_defaults'

    has_one :head,    :default => {:eyes => 4, :ears => 6, :noses => 3}
    has_one :neck,    :default => true
    has_one :address, :default => false
    has_one :profile

    has_one :left_foot, :default => {:side => :left}, :class_name => "Foot"
    accepts_nested_attributes_for :left_foot

  end

  User.new.head.eyes
  # 4

  User.new.neck
  # #<Neck:0x007fb2f4c68fc8> {}

  User.new.address
  # nil

  User.new.profile
  # nil

  u = User.new
  u.left_foot_attributes => {:size => 12}
  u.left_foot.size
  # 12
