Ruport + Capistrano = Rupostrano¶ ↑

Capistrano’s recipe tailored to deploy Ruport-base standalone application.

Everything is based on Capistrano 2.5.5, copyright © 2005-2008 Jamis Buck <jamis@37signals.com>

In your Ruport-base standalone application’s root run:

$ rupostrano

This will write Capfile, config/deploy.rb and config/environment.rb (overwriting them if they alread exist, but you have VCS in place, don’t you?)

Edit config/deploy.rb to your taste and needs and run

$ cap -T

to see the available tasks. Then

$ cap deploy:setup
$ cap deploy

and enjoy the life.
