CodingResources
CodingResources pulls data from FreeTechBooks.com and lists the books and descriptions of each book with a link to read the full book. It also allows you to search for a specific book on the site.
Installation
Add this line to your application's Gemfile:
gem 'coding_resources'
And then execute:
$ bundle
Or install it yourself as:
$ gem install coding_resources
Usage
After installation run gem by typing "coding_resources" into the terminal, then:
Type 1 to list all books.
Type 2 to search for a book.
Type 3 to exit.
After listing or searching for a book:
Type 1 to get more details on a book.
Type 2 to go to the next page of books.
Type 3 to go back one page.
Type 4 to go to a specific page.
Type 5 to search for a new book.
Type 6 to exit.
After getting details on a specific book:
Type 1 to go back to the list of books.
Type 2 to search for a new book.
Type 3 to exit.
Development
After checking out the repo, run bin/setup
to install dependencies. You can also run bin/console
for an interactive prompt that will allow you to experiment.
To install this gem onto your local machine, run bundle exec rake install
. To release a new version, update the version number in version.rb
, and then run bundle exec rake release
, which will create a git tag for the version, push git commits and tags, and push the .gem
file to rubygems.org.
