Contactually-Ruby
This is a simple API Wrapper for the Contactually API. It is not feature complete, as it does not support all available API endpoints yet, but should work for most use cases this will be fine. Feel free to contribute!
Installation
Add this line to your application's Gemfile:
gem 'contactually-ruby'
And then execute:
$ bundle
Or install it yourself as:
$ gem install contactually-ruby
Usage
Configuration
As contactually-ruby
is shipped with sensible defaults, that will allow you
to start right away, there are a couple of settings you may want to adjust,
depending on your applications requirements.
The available configuration options are:
- access_token (your contactually access_token)
- contactually_url (Default: "https://api.contactually.com/v2/")
Get an access_token:
-
Register a new app. Permission scopes are here
all:manage
is full access -
put in a junk (but valid) url in the redirect URL - aka https://test.my-app-url-is-fake.com
-
click the 'authorize' link under the callback url - copy the
code
in the URL string you'll also need theapplication id
&secret
from your application page you just created -
curl -H "Content-Type: application/json" -X POST -d '{"grant_type": "authorization_code", "client_id": "your_application_id", "client_secret": "secret_from_application_page", "code": "code_from_auth_url", "redirect_uri": "your_callback_url"}' https://auth.contactually.com/oauth2/token
-
The response to that (assuming you did it all correctly) will be your access_token
Configuration goes as follows:
Contactually.configure do |c|
c.access_token = "TOKEN FROM OAUTH"
end
