gh-issues¶ ↑

Display issues from a GitHub repository in a console window.

I wrote gh-issues for my personal use, because I do a lot of stuff on command line and I hate to switch too much between applications and/or virtual desktops.

I think gh-issues could be useful for somebody else…

Features¶ ↑

  • Retreive issues and save them locally.

  • List all issues.

  • Display the first issue.

  • Display an issue by ID.

  • Colorized output.

Install¶ ↑

gem install gh-issues

Usage¶ ↑

Go to your local GitHub repository:

$ cd my_repo

Get all issues:

$ gh-issues get
Downloading issues from user:lkdjiin repo:my_repo
2 - colorize output - Story
1 - command next -
3 - close an issue - Story

Display the first issue (next is an alias for first):

$ gh-issues first
2 - colorize output
Story

Display by ID:

$ gh-issues 3
3 - close an issue
Story
maybe later a 'close' command (need authentication) ?

List them all at any time:

$ gh-issues all
2 - colorize output - Story
1 - command next -
3 - close an issue - Story

Dependencies¶ ↑

  • ruby >= 1.9.2

  • json (or json_pure) >= 1.5.1

  • rainbow >= 1.1.1

Windows users should manually install the windows-pr and win32console gems to enable the colorized output:

gem install windows-pr win32console

License¶ ↑
