matrixeval-ruby

It's a plugin of matrixeval for Ruby. Test your ruby code against multiple versions of dependencies like Ruby, Rails, Env ...

Requrements

You need to install docker and docker compose first

Installation

Add this line to your application's Gemfile:

gem 'matrixeval-ruby'

And then execute:

$ bundle install

Or install it yourself as:

$ gem install matrixeval-ruby

Usage

Initialize

matrixeval init -t ruby

Customize matrixeval.yml file and run commands like:

matrixeval --all bundle install
matrixeval --all rspec
matrixeval --ruby 3.0 rspec a_spec.rb
matrixeval --ruby 3.1 --rails 7.0 rake test
matrixeval bash

Run matrixeval --help for more details

You can also check its corresponding matrixeval.yml

Development

After checking out the repo, run bin/setup to install dependencies. Then, run rake test to run the tests. You can also run bin/console for an interactive prompt that will allow you to experiment.

To install this gem onto your local machine, run bundle exec rake install. To release a new version, update the version number in version.rb, and then run bundle exec rake release, which will create a git tag for the version, push git commits and the created tag, and push the .gem file to rubygems.org.
