mongoid_autofields¶ ↑

There’s dynamic fields in Mongoid, and I wrote this gem originally as a result of a miscommunication with the mongoid team. However, I’ve had some issues with dynamic fields, and I’ve had better luck with this gem.

add autofields extension to get up and running with mongoid even faster!

example:

class Basic
  include Mongoid::Document
  include Mongoid::Autofields
end

b = Basic.create :name => 'very basic model', :description => 'fields are automatically detected'
p Basic.last

• Fork the project.

• Make your feature addition or bug fix.

• Add tests for it. This is important so I don’t break it in a future version unintentionally.

• Commit, do not mess with rakefile, version, or history. (if you want to have your own version, that is fine but bump version in a commit by itself I can ignore when I pull)

• Send me a pull request. Bonus points for topic branches.
