Playframework::Capistrano

Play Framework / Capistrano Integration Gem.

Compatibility

Use the branch master if you are developing with Play Framework >= 2.2.0.

If you are stuck in previous versions of Play Framework, go to playframework-2.1.x-compatible branch.

Installation

Play Framework / Capistrano integration is available as a separate gem.

$ gem install playframework-capistrano

Or, in your Play Framework's project root folder, create a Gemfile file (example here), and add:

gem 'playframework-capistrano', '>=0.0.6'

#
# For Play Framework < 2.2.0:
#
# gem 'playframework-capistrano', '0.0.5'

And then execute:

$ bundle install

Usage

Configure your project (sample project):

Run cap -vT to see all the available tasks.

Steps to deploy your Play application with Play Framework / Capistrano Integration Gem:

cap deploy:setup (Prepares one or more servers for deployment.)

cap deploy:check (Test deployment dependencies.)

cap deploy (Deploys your project.)

cap playframework:start_dev || cap playframework:start_prod (Start your application.)

cap playframework:stop (Stop your application.)

Contributing
