RFactor
A small CLI utility to factor integers. Created as a replacement for the factor utility in GNU coreutils, though this is far slower and much less sophisticated.
Installation
Install it yourself with:
$ gem install r_factor
Usage
$ factor 12741 86157 31628
12741: 3 31 137
86157: 3 3 3 3191
31628: 2 2 7907
$ echo "123123123" | factor
123123123: 3 3 41 333667
Development
Check out the repo then run rake test
to run the tests.
You can also run bin/console
for an interactive prompt that will allow you to experiment.
To install this gem onto your local machine, run bundle exec rake install
.
To release a new version, update the version number in version.rb
, and then run bundle exec rake release
, which will create a git tag for the version, push git commits and tags, and push the .gem
file to rubygems.org.
