Rack::Syntax::Highlighter
Use Albino and Pygmentize to apply syntax highlighting to code blocks in HTML.
Installation
Add this line to your application's Gemfile
:
gem 'rack-syntax-highlighter'
And then execute:
$ bundle
Or install it yourself as:
$ gem install rack-syntax-highlighter
Usage
Inside your config.ru
:
use Rack::SyntaxHighlighter
Why?
Because other syntax highlighters
defile your content by requiring you to insert the language into the document body,
meaning if you ever remove the rack middleware you've now go :::ruby
plastered
all over your code blocks. I don't want that, and I want something that naturally
played nice with Redcarpet2 and fenced code blocks.
