HealthCheck
This will add a basic health check to your ruby Application. Given a request to '/health_check' it should return a basic 200.
Installation
Add this line to your application's Gemfile:
gem 'rack_health_check'
And then execute:
$ bundle
Or install it yourself as:
$ gem install health_check
The Rails railtie will handle everything else.
Usage
Once installed hit /health_check and it should start returning a 200
curl -I 'http://localhost:3000/health_check' | grep HTTP
% Total % Received % Xferd Average Speed Time Time Time Current
Dload Upload Total Spent Left Speed
0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 --:--:-- --:--:-- --:--:-- 0
HTTP/1.1 200 OK
Non-Rails Environment Setup
In a non-rails environment simply add RackHealthCheck::Middleware to your middlewares
