While rails' default error pages are great, they look totally unprofessional for any real site. RuRoh provides a quick and easy way to have nicely rendered error pages generated from your stack during deployment. This allows you to re-use your existing layouts and customize your error pages without having to re-create them on the fly (which could result in further errors). The pages can be generated via capistrano during deploy, or generated during a post-commit hook similar to asset pipeline resources.

At times we would want to block certain requests. SafetyCone allows this to be controlled from an interface. It also provides a feature flipper for the views.

Safetynet keeps track of email communications by user/email and ActionMailer message. If the same message is sent to the same user multiple times within the allowed timeframe, it will be blocked from delivery and notify system admins. The messages are filterable in a way similar to controller filters, and the checking method can be called by itself outside the normal hooks for additional throttling (i.e. SMS sending, push notifications, etc.).
