RtRubocopDefaults

Gem Version

Opinionated and sharable default rubocop config used at runtastic.

Installation

Add this line to your application's Gemfile:

gem 'rt_rubocop_defaults', require: false

And then execute:

$ bundle

Or install it yourself as:

$ gem install rt_rubocop_defaults

Configuration

You need to tell RuboCop to load the defaults from this gem. There are two ways to do this:

RuboCop configuration file

Put this into your .rubocop.yml:

require: rt_rubocop_defaults

Now you can run rubocop and it will automatically load the RuboCop defaults together with the standard cops.

Command line

rubocop --require rt_rubocop_defaults

Usage

You can use RuboCop as always, but it will use the defaults defined in this gem.

Development

After checking out the repo, run bin/setup to install dependencies. You can also run bin/console for an interactive prompt that will allow you to experiment.

To install this gem onto your local machine, run bundle exec rake install. To release a new version, update the version number in version.rb, and then run bundle exec rake release, which will create a git tag for the version, push git commits and tags, and push the .gem file to rubygems.org.
