sidekiq_statsd_middleware

A Ruby gem that provides a server middleware component for Sidekiq that sends worker success and failure counts, and job timing information to StatsD.

Usage

statsd_client = Statsd.new

Sidekiq.configure_server do |config|
  config.server_middleware do |chain|
    chain.add Sidekiq::Statsd::ServerMiddleware, statsd_client, prefix: "app.production.sidekiq"
  end
end

When a worker with the class of, say, MyBigJob executes, you'll see a StatsD count appear with the name app.production.sidekiq.my_big_job.success or app.production.sidekiq.my_big_job.failure. The execution timing for the job will appear as app.production.sidekiq.my_big_job.duration and the latency (the time difference between when the job was queued and when the job was executed by the worker), will appear as app.production.sidekiq.my_big_job.latency.
