Rails helpers for building "sort by column" links.
Installation
Add this line to your application's Gemfile:
gem 'sorting_helper'
And then execute:
$ bundle
Or install it yourself as:
$ gem install sorting_helper
Usage
# app/controllers/users_controller.rb
class UsersController < ApplicationController
def index
@users = User.order(sorting)
end
protected
def sorting
column = sorting_column
if %w[rating name].include?(column)
"#{column} #{sorting_direction}"
end
end
end
