Sqrt
This gem aim to exactly calc formula including Square root.
Installation
Add this line to your application's Gemfile:
gem 'sqrt'
And then execute:
$ bundle
Or install it yourself as:
$ gem install sqrt
Usage
x1 = Sqrt::Object.new(2, 3) # This means 2 * sqrt(3). arguments is integer, float, rational, complex.
x2 = Sqrt::Object.new(1, 2)
x1.to_f
# => 3.4641016151377544
x1 * x2
# => Sqrt::Object.new(2, 6)
x1 ** 2
# => 12
Devide, add and substruct is under developing.
Development
After checking out the repo, run bin/setup
to install dependencies. Then, run rake test
to run the tests. You can also run bin/console
for an interactive prompt that will allow you to experiment.
To install this gem onto your local machine, run bundle exec rake install
. To release a new version, update the version number in version.rb
, and then run bundle exec rake release
, which will create a git tag for the version, push git commits and tags, and push the .gem
file to rubygems.org.
