Trinidad hotdeploy extension ====== # DESCRIPTION Extension to allow Trinidad to redeploy an application each time a file, for instance tmp/restart.txt, is modified without restarting Tomcat. [WARNING] This extension only works with Trinidad 0.9.0 or avobe. # INSTALL $ jruby -S gem install trinidad_hotdeploy_extension # CONFIGURE To configure it, we need to add it into the extensions section of a web application in the Trinidad's configuration file. http://wiki.github.com/calavera/trinidad/advanced-configuration It also allows to configure the name of the file to monitorize and the period of time that it waits between each check. --- web_apps: default: extensions: hotdeploy: monitor: tmp/restart.txt # this parameter is optional, the default value is tmp/restart.txt delay: 30000 # in milliseconds, this parameter is optional, the default value is 1 second This extension can also be loaded from the command line with its default parameters: $ jruby -S trinidad --load hotdeploy Further information on how to write your own extension can be found in the wiki: http://wiki.github.com/calavera/trinidad/extensions # DEVELOPMENT Copy the hooks into git-hooks directory to .git/hooks to make sure the jar file is updated when the java code is modified. # Copyright Copyright (c) 2010-2011 David Calavera.
