Yaml::Exec

Execute command with complicated arguments in a YAML file.

Add this line to your application's Gemfile:

gem 'yaml-exec'

And then execute:

$ bundle

Or install it yourself as:

$ gem install yaml-exec

$ yaml-exec <command> <yaml file>

$ yaml-exec echo docker-machine create machines.yml

machines.yml:

web:
  driver: virtualbox
  engine-env:
    HTTP_PROXY: http://example.com:8080
    HTTPS_PROXY: https://example.com:8080
    NO_PROXY: example2.com

The output

docker-machine create --driver virtualbox --engine-env HTTP_PROXY=http://example.com:8080 --engine-env HTTPS_PROXY=https://example.com:8080 --engine-env NO_PROXY=example2.com web

After checking out the repo, run bin/setup to install dependencies. You can also run bin/console for an interactive prompt that will allow you to experiment.

To install this gem onto your local machine, run bundle exec rake install. To release a new version, update the version number in version.rb, and then run bundle exec rake release, which will create a git tag for the version, push git commits and tags, and push the .gem file to rubygems.org.
