This is a really simple CLI tool to convert between YAML and JSON. It's written in Ruby and allows the full flexibily of whatever Ruby allows you to parse.
Installing the gem provides the following new commands:
json2yaml
yaml2json
Installation
$ gem install yamljson
Usage
Convert YAML to JSON
$ yaml2json --input-file /path/to/yaml/file
- Output is pretty printed by default, to disable this pass the
--no-pretty
argument:
$ yaml2json --input-file /path/to/yaml/file --no-pretty
Convert JSON to YAML
$ json2yaml --input-file /path/to/json/file
